Samsung Nepal has officially launched the new Galaxy S22 series in Nepal. This includes the flagship Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra alongside its two siblings — Samsung Galaxy S22, and Samsung Galaxy S22+. Coming to the design, all the iterations don’t seem much different than their respective predecessors.

Of course, there are changes when it comes to the display size, colors, camera modules, and more. Here we will take a brief overview of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra followed by their expected prices and availability.
Samsung Galaxy S22
The Samsung Galaxy S22 comes with a 6.1-inch dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with 2,340 x 1,080 pixels resolution, ~425ppi density, ~87.4% screen-to-body ratio, and not to mention Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 1,300 nits peak brightness.
Running on One UI 4.1 atop Android 12, the handset is powered by Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor built with 4nm fabrication. It’s an octa-core processor with a single 3.00GHz Cortex-X2 core, three 2.40GHz Cortex-A710 cores, and four 1.70GHz Cortex-A510 cores. For graphics, there is an Adreno 730 unit.
Moving on, the device comes in 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage variants.
Talking about the camera, there is a triple camera setup at the back comprising an f/1.8 50MP wide sensor with dual pixel PDAF and OIS, an f/2.4 10MP telephoto unit with PDAF, OIS, and 3x optical zoom, and finally an f/2.2 12MP ultrawide shooter with super steady video mode. The module can capture up to 8K resolution videos at 24fps, 4K videos at 30/60fps, 1080p videos at 30/60/240fps, and 720p at 960fps.
Similarly, the front gets an f/2.2 10MP wide sensor with dual pixel PDAF for selfies. There are dual video call and auto-HDR modes too. Also, the front module can capture up to 4K videos at 30/60fps and 1080p videos at 30fps.
The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB Type-C 3.2. You will not get a 3.5mm audio jack here.
A non-removable Li-Ion 3,700mAh cell with 25W fast charging keeps the lights on. The battery is also rated for 15W fast Qi/PMA wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy S22+
The Samsung Galaxy S22+ has a larger 6.6-inch dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a similar 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a slightly higher 1,750nits peak brightness. Similarly, the screen-to-body ratio and pixel density number to ~88.3% and ~393ppi respectively. For protection, there is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ too.
Running on One UI 4.1 on top of Android 12, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip based on a 4nm process. It’s an octa-core processor with a single 3.00GHz Cortex-X2, three 2.40GHz Cortex-A710 cores, and four 1.70GHz Cortex-A510 cores. Paired with it is an Adreno 730 unit for graphical processing.
As for memory configurations, there is an 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variant.

As expected there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. However, you do get Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 with A2DP and LE, GPS, and USB Type-C 3.2 with USB On-The-Go as connectivity options.
Galaxy S22+ carries a non-removable Li-Ion 4,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Further features include USB Power Delivery 3.0, 15W fast Qi/PMA wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
Measuring 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm in dimension, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra weighs around 228g. The back is glass with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection while the frame is made up of aluminum. And the display also uses the same Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for added strength.
The handset is rated for dust and water resistance with IP68 certification asserted to provide protection up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.
The front gets a dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 3088 x 1440 pixels resolution, ~500 ppi density, ~90.2% screen-to-body ratio, HDR10+, 1750nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports always-on-display.
Running on One UI 4.1 on top of Android 12, S22 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC based on 4nm fabrication. In Europe, however, it uses Exynos 2200 chipset based on a 4nm process.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a quad-core processor with a single 3.00GHz Cortex-X2 core, three 2.40GHz Cortex-A710 cores, and four 1.70GHz Cortex-A510 cores. Paired with it is an Adreno 730 unit for graphical processing.
Similarly, the device comes in 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB storage configurations.
As for the optics, there is an f/1.8 108MP wide lens, an f/4.9 10MP periscope telephoto sensor with dual pixel PDAF, OIS, and 10x optical zoom, an f/2.4 10MP telephoto unit with dual pixel PDAF, OIS, and 3x optical zoom, and finally an f/2.2 12MP ultrawide snapper with dual pixel PDAF and super steady video mode. The rear sensor can capture up to 8K resolution videos at 24fps, 4K at 30/60fps, 1080p at 30/60/240fps, and 720p at 960fps.
At the front lies a single f/2.2 40MP wide shooter with PDAF. The front camera also features dual video calls and auto-HDR. The video recording capability is limited to 4K at 30/60fps and 1080p at 30fps.

Available in Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Pink Gold colors, the Samsung Galaxy S22 is priced at NPR 1,12,999 for 8GB/256GB memory config. The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is available in the same color variants too priced at NPR 1,29,999 for a similar memory configuration.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is priced at NPR 1,59,999 for 12GB/256GB and NPR 1,69,999 for 12GB/512GB variant. While the device is available in Phantom Black and Burgundy colors, there is an additional color option too based on the memory, i.e. 12GB/512GB version in Green and 12GB/256GB version in Phantom White.
