After plenty of leaks and rumors, the OnePlus 3T is now official. The new phone from the Chinese company is an incremental upgrade from its counterpart OnePlus 3, most notably in the hardware department. The OnePlus 3T is a tad bit thinner, rest assure the phone resembles the OnePlus 3 in terms of design — borrowing the similar anodized aluminum body.
The OnePlus 3T comes with a 5.5-inches Full-HD Optic AMOLED display protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass 4 — much like its predecessor. Underneath, the phone is powered by the latest and powerful Snapdragon 821 quad-core chipset with first two cores running at 2.35GHz while the remaining two is clocked at 1.6GHz. In terms of memory, the OnePlus 3T is backed up by 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64/128GB of UFS 2.0 storage, unfortunately without an option for microSD card.
As far as the camera is concerned, the OnePlus 3T boasts a 16MP Sony IMX 298 sensor at the back with a plethora of features including the f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, Electronic Image Stabilization(EIS), OIS and LED flash. The phone got you covered in terms of selfies with an upgraded 16MP Samsung 3P8SP sensor at the front surprisingly with PDAF and EIS. It’s kinda interesting that OnePlus opted in for two different manufacturers for their camera lens.
The phone also comes with a host of features including the fingerprint scanner at the front for extensive security, bottom-facing Dirac HD sound for immersive sound experience, and a USB Type-C port for data exchange.
The whole phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow( sorry, no Nougat) on top of Oxygen OS and packs an upgraded 3,400mAh battery with OnePlus’s convenient Dash Charge technology letting you use the phone for a day with 30-minute charging. As for the connectivity, the phone support dual-SIM with 4G LTE capability, Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, GLONASS, and NFC.
The phone is available in two color options including the Gunmetal and Soft Gold. As for the pricing and availability, the 64GB variant is priced at $439, whereas it will cost you $479 for the 128GB one. The phone will go on sale from November 22 in USA and Canada. With OnePlus 3 quickly landing in Nepali market after its launch, looking into the past records, we expect the OnePlus 3T to arrive this December in Nepal.
