After passing through the rumor pipeline, Huawei has finally unveiled the Honor Magic — one of the most curved phone. The phone’s every part is curved and smooth, unlike S7 Edge’s side curve. Covered up in glass and measuring just 7.8mm in thickness, the Honor Magic is the phone to be desired.
The handset sports a magnificent 5.09-inch QHD AMOLED display resulting in a pixel density of 577ppi. The phone shines with Kirin 950 chipset with octa-core CPU coupled up with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The Honor Magic boots up Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of Huawei’s new Honor Magic Live OS.
The whole phone is powered by a 2900mAh battery which can be charged up to 90% at a ridiculous time of just 30 minutes, thanks to Huawei’s Magic Power Charger. Further down, the phone can be plugged in for 20 minutes for 70% charge, while 10 minutes of charge will provide you 40% of battery life, all without getting heated up.
The phone boasts a 12MP dual camera at the back with f/2.2 aperture rate and an impressive 1.4µm pixel lens. The dual camera resembles Huawei’s other phone — one for capturing color photos, while the other is for capturing monochrome pictures. Unfortunately, the phone isn’t capable of recording 4K videos due to a weak GPU.
The phone got you covered on all aspect, including the security. Talking about it, the Honor Magic is integrated with digital assistant dubbed as DeepThink which cohesively works with an infrared camera to recognize the users’ retina. There’s also a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Honor Magic from Huawei will set you back for CNY 3,700($530). The phone is available for pre-order in China and will possibly go on sale from 25th of December. Huawei, however, hasn’t mentioned anything about its availability outside of China.
