Coolpad has officially launched the successor to its Cool 1, the Cool 2 in China. While the company has been struggling to make a name for itself, the Cool 2 is certainly a device that could turn a few heads around.
The phone comes with a 5.7-inch display that’s well complemented with a trendy 18:9 aspect ratio. The 720p display is further enhanced with a 2.5D layer curved; though, there’s no word about protection. It’s also one of the few Chinese phones that don’t carry the infamous notch at the top.
Apart from the non-gimmicky stuff, the phone does have some essentials. A fingerprint scanner at the back and a microSD card slot is fortunately present on the smartphone. On top of that, the 3.5mm headphone jack is certainly a port that we appreciate the most.
Inside is the MediaTek’s MT6750 chipset while accompanying it is 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Powering the phone is a 3,200mAh battery, though it doesn’t support fast charging.
At the back, there is a dual-camera setup as usual. Out of two, the first one is a 13MP sensor, while the second is a mere 0.3MP one. The front has an 8MP camera for selfies.
Pricing about the Coolpad Cool 2 is yet to be revealed. And we are still unsure if it will even hit the shelves of Nepali market.
