Yamaha presented the all-new Ray ZR Street Rally version on the NADA Auto show 2018. The overall scooter gets certain cosmetic updates that make it look more aggressive than the standard Ray ZR. Now, the Street Rally is more sporty and stylish scooter than ever. The scooter can be purchased for Rs. 2,03,900 in Nepal.
Up front, it gets the sharp design as it gets a bold visor with a smoky finish and the stylish SR emblem and along with that it also gets the knuckle guard making the scooter more street style. Likewise, the scooter also houses a digital console, edgy mirror, and split seats. On the back, it gets the aggressive tail lamp. What enhances the look of the scooter is the new Rally graphics. The scooter comes with two color scheme: Rally Red and the iconic Yamaha Racing Blue.
Powering the Ray ZR Street Rally is the same air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, 113cc “BLUE CORE” engine that churns out 7.2PS @ 7500rpm and a maximum torque of 8.1 Nm @ 5000rpm. It also features Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) unit which provides both smooth initial acceleration and pickup. As claimed, it has a mileage of 66kmpl and a top speed of 80kmph. The Ray ZR is available in two variants, including the Disc and Drum.
Some of the other features include a 170 mm front disc brake, the ‘rising air’ rear end and the roller rocker arm which reduces the loss of power at low speeds, 21-litre under seat storage, a front pocket for storage, key secure grip and a two-level single seat.
