The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) and J5 Pro (2017) gets a certification of the WiFi alliance with newer software which suggests both handsets should start getting the Android 9 Pie update soon.
However, the update is still skeptical for some models viz. SM-J530F/DS (global version), SM-J530FM/DS (UAE version) and the SM-J530Y/G/GM/YM/DS (Malaysian version).
Both the Galaxy J5 (2017) and J5 Pro (2017) had received Android 8.1 Oreo update last August.
The Android Pie update on these devices will bring a fully revamped UI design and a swarm of features alongside Samsung’s new One UI.
