Back in February, Nepal Telecommunication Authority issued an Internet Service Provider license to Dish Home, which is a well-known Direct to Home(DTH) TV service provider of Nepal. Now, Dish Home has already initiated Fiber To The Home(FTTH) service, particularly in three different areas in the Kathmandu valley — Bhaisepati, Tinkune-Baneshwor, and Kapan-Bauddha.
Dish Home has expanded its own fiber net in Bhaisepati and Kapan area and has been collaborating with the main SIM TV company for fiber internet service in the Tinkune-Baneshwor area.
Meanwhile, the company looks forward to completing the expansion outside Ring-Road by the end of 2077 BS, thereby gaining around 12,000 consumers. In fact, at first, it plans to expand the service outside Ring-Road then enter locations inside Ring-Road.
Dish Home is even considering the satellite internet for areas posing demographic issues for the expansion of fiber internet. However, it has not started the work yet owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic bringing in satellite internet equipment import issues.
You can check the updated price list below. All the prices are exclusive of VAT and you have to pay ‘separate fees’ for installation and router rental depending on your package. Also, in case you’re wondering, Dish Home has mentioned to us that there is no FUP (Fair Usage Policy) restriction on either of its plans.
