Last month, Realme introduced the Realme Buds Air and Air Neo in Nepal. This time, the company has launched the cheapest True Wireless Stereo earbuds — the Realme Buds Q in Nepal. The Buds Q looks premium, to which the company accredits Jose Levy joining the Realme design studio to craft the Realme products.
The new Buds Q looks different than the Buds Air with a bean-shaped design comprising the rubber tips, much like the Samsung Galaxy Buds+. Built with plastic, its lightweight — 35.3 grams and doesn’t feel premium as it looks.
Though, coming at the price under NPR 4,000, it produces above par sound owing to a 10mm driver with a dynamic bass boost resulting in an immersive and realistic sound. And Realme has not even bothered mentioning the absence of the active noise cancellation considering the earbuds going on a price point as low as $30 (global). All you get is a considerably compact rubber tip seal for the passive cancellation.
In comparison to the Buds Air, the Buds Q brings in a shorter latency for the Gaming Mode — 119ms, which is 1 millisecond faster. Alongside, you are getting a touch sensor on both the buds that can be leveraged activities including Play/Pause, next track, and holding the Gaming Mode.
It comes with a micro USB port while dumps the wireless charging feature. Realme is incorporating a 400mAh battery into the case that is said to last as long as 20 hours on a single charge, each bud with 4.5 hours playback time.
Realme, to achieve a lower price point for the Realme Buds Q, has compromised on its build and the likes of active noise cancellation and charging capabilities, yet managed to add impressive sound and fast and painless connectivity. There doesn’t seem any contender in a similar price range offering such significant quality alongside connectivity.
