Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of Tata Motors for Nepal, has unveiled its premium hatchback “Tata Altroz” online. The hatchback comes in both petrol and diesel engine available in four variants: XE, XM, XT, XZ, and XZ (O). But only the petrol variant was able to enter the Nepali market and its starting price in Nepal is Rs. 29,99,000.
The Tata Altroz clearly makes use of the company’s IMPACT 2.0 design philosophy as it stays identical to the 45X concept which was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Altroz gets the company’s signature humanity line grille with gloss black treatment, flanked by sleek headlamps integrated with the indicators, and a secondary light positioned below with LED daytime running lamps.
The side profile looks sportier as it gets a bold wheel arc and beltline which rises slightly to the end. The rear also looks sportier with 3D like tail lamp design. The car also comes with a set of twin-four-spoke alloy wheels and a blacked-out roof.
Inside the Altroz features a premium cabin that includes a 7-inch floating infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, cruise control, auto headlamps, auto climate control, and rain-sensing wipers, multi-function as well as keyless entry with push-button start-stop.
The Altroz is powered by a BS6-compliant 86 bhp/113 Nm 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Safety equipment consists of ABS+EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, driver and co-driver seatbelt warning, and high-speed alert. The Altroz gets a boot space of 347 liters along with a ground clearance of 165mm.
