Khalti Digital Wallet signs an agreement with the Social Security Fund (SSF) to facilitate both employees and employers of private and government offices to pay SSF funds directly from its app. It’s applicable to employees and employers of any private and government offices that are bound with SSF, hence obliged to pay the fixed amount from their income by the 15th day each month.
The arrangement was implemented after an agreement between Mr. Jonaam Bhurtel, Assistant Manager at Khalti, and Mr. Kapilmani Gyawali, Executive Director of Social Security Fund (SSF). Both also shared their thoughts on the same.
Mr. Bhurtel from Khalti said, “Along with technological advancement, we (Khalti) are enhancing our online payment system to serve our customers better in Nepal. Now, employees do not necessarily have to physically be available at the office or banks to deposit their funds. Especially, amidst COVID-19, the service has eased people to make contactless payments. The organizations affiliated to the Social Security Fund can directly make payment from home using Khalti.”
Similarly, Mr. Gyawali stated how the service has enhanced the prestige of both Khalti and SSF. He shared, “We are very thankful to be able to provide this facility to all the employees living across the country. This service has helped to enhance the prestige of both the Khalti Digital Wallet and the Social Security fund. Without the technical and management team’s hard work, this service would not be possible. Therefore, I would like to thank the entire team from the bottom of my heart.”
Khalti also believes that this service will play a pivotal role in its journey to digitize every payment method in Nepal.
