It has been nearly a year since Nubia’s entrance in Nepal. The period saw several low mid-range devices in the market but do not really seem to impress much, especially when it goes in comparison with other Chinese smartphone competitors in Nepal itself, viz. Huawei, Xiaomi, and even Oppo.
This same company launches its new gaming phone — Nubia Red Magic 3 in China. While it’s still unknown regarding the launch of this device in Nepal, let’s see what it delivers to the users, here.
The Nubia Red Magic 3 carries a 6.65-inch AMOLED screen that offers 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch refresh rate. Similarly, there’s no attempt to remove the bezels, completely from the phone whatsoever, thus carries thick top and bottom bezels, which seems fair since it is a gaming phone.
The phone comprises 12GB RAM paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. Also, there’s a huge battery, two types of internal cooling systems, 8K and 1920fps slow-mo video recording, and much more on offer in it.
On both sides of the phone, are the speakers for stereo sound. Red Magic 3 features 4D customizable vibrations.
A single camera on the back does justify what the phone is really made for, i.e. gaming. It’s said to be capable of recording 8K video of up to 1920fps video shooting. But it’s yet to know if it is by upscaling the 960 fps slow-mo, the feature that can be seen in other flagships. Similarly, the sensor is a 48MP IMX586 with f/1.7 aperture.
The Nubia Red Magic 3 uses second-generation ICE liquid cooling along with an actual fan that lowers the temperature of the device with 16 degrees Celsius. The phone manufacturer says that the cooling effects provide up to 500% heat distribution and cover 32,000 sq.mm but we’re not quite sure what that really means.
The phone carries an action button on the top right side, above the cooling grid that serves as an additional key during gaming. Also, you can use the diamond-shaped rear fingerprint sensor.
The company has used a 5,000mAh battery that supports 27W fast-charging and power delivery.
Regarding the price of the device, it costs CNY2,899 ($430/€385) for a Black 6/64GB version and CNY3,199 ($475/€425) for the same one with double storage. The 8/128GB Nubia Red Magic 3 in Red or Black is priced at CNY3,499 ($520/€470). The 12/256GB variant costs CNY4,299 ($640/€575) and comes in Red-Violent gradient or a Camo finish on the back.
Sales for the phone will start from 3rd of May through nubia stores and JD .com.
