Samsung has finally unveiled its Galaxy A80 smartphone in Nepal. The device is yet another addition to Samsung’s ever-growing A-series lineup in Nepal. With a design philosophy of “Era of Live”, the Galaxy A80 certainly live up to the tagline with a unique rotating triple-camera to eliminate the use of any notch or holes.
While the market is flooded with pop-up camera smartphones, Samsung’s Galaxy A80 brings something new on its own; a flipping mechanism that holds triple camera sensors. Thanks to this flipping mechanism, the phone makes use of a single camera for both selfies and landscape shots.
Talking about the mechanism, it has a 48MP camera sensor with f/2.0 lens with Super Steady mode also seen on Galaxy S10. This helps the phone to capture videos without any stutters. Just by the side is an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view for capturing wide-angle selfies with more people into the shot. Finally, there’s a ToF sensor for depth perception for images and even videos.
At the front, the phone looks clean and sharp without big bezels, courtesy of the motorized pop-up module. This makes a room for a big 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display without any hindrance like a notch or hole. The resolution is 1080p but like any other Samsung device, this one should produce rich colors and true blacks. Underneath the display, the phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner.
