Oppo thinks they could benefit from one or two new smartphones after seemingly getting props for Reno3 and Reno3 Pro. The company has now gone on to unveil the Reno3 Vitality edition that resembles the vanilla Reno3 but with new internals.
Talking about new internals, it means the device now gets the Snapdragon 765 in place of the MediaTek T6885Z Dimensity 1000L chipset. The one from Snapdragon is slightly faster and powerful, theoretically bringing it closer to the Pro edition. But the one of Reno3 Pro is Snapdragon 765G which is a better variant.
Regardless, the Reno3 Vitality edition from here only goes downward, at least in terms of camera. The Vitality edition has a 48MP camera as opposed to the 64MP seen on vanilla Reno3. However, the rest of the sensor is similar: 8MP f.2/2 ultra-wide, 2MP B/W f/2.4 sensor, 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Likewise, the Vitality edition is currently available on an 8GB/128GB variant only, which shows the vanilla Reno3 getting lead on this one. Finally, the Reno3 Vitality edition is being offered in three new color variants, including Sky Mirror White, Moonlight Black, and Streamer Gold.
Besides that, the Vitality edition of Reno3 is mostly similar to its sibling with an identical 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, and the same teardrop notch that hides 32MP selfie camera. It also has a similar 4,025mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging and also a 3.5mm headphone jack plus NFC.
Pricing of the Oppo Reno3 Vitality edition is CNY 2,999, with pre-orders beginning from today.
