Oppo released the new Reno 5A in Japan. Newest in the Reno lineup, the Oppo Reno 5A has some similar specifications as the Oppo Reno 5 5G, though it comes with a different screen and lesser battery capacity and charging speed.
Starting with the display, this one gets a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with 1080p+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. A single punch hole at the top left corner houses a 16MP selfie shooter.
Similarly, at the back lies a quad-camera setup comprising a 64MP main, an 8MP ultrawide, and a pair of macro and depth sensors, 2MP each. Towards the rear-middle is a fingerprint scanner for security.
Running on ColorOS 11 atop of Android 11, the Reno 5A is powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, expandable via microSDXC. And it’s IP68 certified making it dust and water-resistant.
As for the battery, the device carries a 4,000mAh cell with 18W charging to keep its lights on.
Although we are yet to know the price of the Oppo Reno 5A, we will update it as soon as it’s revealed. The smartphone is available in two colors — Black and Blue.
