Samsung has announced the new Galaxy M21 2021 edition with an upgraded 48MP GM2 wide camera unit at the back. Running on One UI 3.1 built on top of Android 11, this iteration doesn’t bring much of the changes as compared to last year’s version.

This edition brings the same old 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, 84.2% screen-to-body ratio, 403ppi density, and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The Galaxy M21 2021 is powered by a 10nm process-based Exynos 9611 chipset with four 2.3GHz Cortex-A73 cores and four 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 cores coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB internal storage expandable via a dedicated microSDXC slot. A Mali-G72 MP3 unit handles the graphic.
Coming to the cameras, there is a triple camera setup at the rear panel that includes an f/2.0 48MP wide, f/2.2 8MP ultrawide, and an f/2.2 5MP panorama sensor with HDR whilst a single f/2.2 20MP wide sensor at the front for selfies. While the rear module can capture 4K resolution videos at 30fps, 1080p videos at 30fps, and 720p videos at 240fps, the front camera can capture up to 1080p videos at 30fps only.
The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Similarly, the sensors incorporated include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, compass, and proximity.
The device comes with a 6,000mAh non-removable battery with 15W fast charging support that keeps its lights on.

Samsung Galaxy M21 Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 edition will cost a price of INR 12,499 (around NPR 20,499 in Nepal) for 4GB/64GB and INR 14,499 (around NPR 23,999 in Nepal) for 6GB/128GB memory configuration in India with sales kicking off as of 26 July via online platforms including Samsung India’s online store and Amazon India as well as offline retail stores.
However, we are yet to know the launch date of the smartphone in Nepal.
