The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, launched a while ago in Nepal gets an iterative upgrade — it’s called Galaxy A52s 5G. The mid-ranger improves upon its predecessor’s major disappointment, i.e. chipset and slow charging speed.
The new Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G brings the Snapdragon 778G chipset, which is fabricated in TSMC’s 6nm technology. The SoC has four Kryo 670 cores, a high-end Adreno 642L GPU, and an X53 5G modem with up to 3.3 Gbps of download speed. It’s a significant bump from the Snapdragon 750G’s two A77 cores and Adreno 619 GPU.
Albeit the fancy new chipset, it still has the same memory configuration. The base variant comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, though you can also get an 8GB/128GB model. If in case you want to upgrade the storage there’s a microSD card slot.
Another major change is its 25W fast charger, which isn’t an upgrade as technically the A52 5G also has the 25W charging but only arrives with a 15W charging adapter, whereas this one offers a 25W charger out of the box.
Nothing has changed in terms of the cell capacity, it still has the same 4,500mAh pack, which is said to last for two days of use. The standard model was indeed applauded for its endurance but we have to see if the new chipset makes any difference.
Mainly because the phone still has the same 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p+ resolution. The fingerprint scanner is inside the screen, whereas the 32MP selfie camera with a fixed-focus f/2.2 lens sits atop in the punch-hole cutout.

The rear camera gets no makeover as it still holds the same 64MP main sensor with f/1.8 lens and OIS and PDAF; a 12MP ultrawide shooter with f/2.2 aperture and two 5MP cameras for macro and depth perception. There’s no room for a telephoto camera, however.
You still get peace of mind with IP67 dust and water resistance.
