Apple is all set to launch a redesigned MacBook Pro and some major Mac updates at the dedicated event tomorrow. Following its iPhone release back in September, Apple is probably revamping Mac series with a redesigned MacBook Pro and additional iMac and MacBook Air updates.
MacBook Pro
Talking about the MacBook Pro, which by the way desperately needs an upgrade will be facing a complete overhaul this time. Let’s take a look at some strong rumors.
An OLED touch panel: MacBook Pro will come with an OLED touch panel instead of function keys. The panel will allow users to change brightness, control volume, and music. It will also have a small section with useful touch options for any applications being used.
Fingerprint Scanner: The new MacBook Pro is also rumored to get a Touch ID fingerprint reader as revealed in some leaked photos. The reader is just beside the touch panel on the right.
USB-C: MacBook Pro is going to have USB-C ports, 4 to be exact according to the leaked picture.
If this is the case, there will be no power connector, HDMI port or even an SD card slot.
Thinner and lighter?: Of course, the new MacBook Pro is said to be thinner and lighter than the previous versions and will feature an improved flatter keyboard, mostly believed to be based on the Butterfly mechanism(like the new MacBook).
Rumors suggest the MacBook Pro will be available in similar resolutions as current models (2560 x 1600 for the 13-inch model and 2880 x 1800 for the 15-inch one), perhaps with better display technology and energy efficiency. Plus, the MacBook Pro is supposed to adopt Intel Skylake Processors and is rumored to come with 2TB SSD storage option.
Also..
Other Mac products like iMac and MacBook Air are also getting updates tomorrow. The iMac is expected to get a 4k and 5k display options with new AMD graphics options. Rumors circulating the web suggests that MacBook Air will be graced with USB-C ports and some faster processors. And do you remember the AirPods introduced at the iPhone event? Apple should also be providing a release date for its wireless earbuds at the event. All these rumors are yet to be confirmed but we are pumped up to see what Apple has for its loyal customers.
The event will be streaming live at 1PM ET / 10:45 PM in Nepali time.
