Samsung’s latest budget offering Galaxy J2 2018 has officially made its way to the Nepali market. The handset is a successor to last year’s J2 2017 and comes with some aesthetic as well as internal improvements.
Booting on a bit dated Android 7.1 Nougat, the Samsung Galaxy J2 2018 has a 5-inch Super AMOLED display and 950 x 540 pixels of resolution. Inside is the Snapdragon 425 chipset replacing the Exynos one as seen in its predecessor. Running the show is 2GB of RAM and a mere 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card.
Focusing on its camera; at the rear is an average 8MP camera with an LED flash and at the front is a 5MP selfie camera with an LED flash either. At least, that’s something positive for users who want to click a budget selfies.
The 4G VoLTE supporting phone is powered by a decent 2,600mAh battery inside. The battery should at least give you a respectable on-screen time considering its low-res display. Besides that, the phone has also some software treats up its sleeves, including dual messenger and a pre-installed Samsung Health.
