OPPO’s mantra “Capture The Real You” has once again taken a stride forward. Thanks to the launch of the F7 Youth in Nepal. A Youth edition of OPPO F7, the phone brings all those hardware (minus camera) at a bit more resistive price.
The device comes with a 6-inch 18:9 Full-HD+ display, as opposed to its bigger brother’s 6.23-inch. Inside is the similar Helio P60 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Despite a near to similar hardware, the F7 Youth is aesthetically different. A major change can be seen at the top with an absence of a notch. The symmetrically built phone impresses me more than its big brother could ever do but it looks like it’s the only “wow factor” the phone has.
Talking about the camera, the OPPO F7 Youth has an AI Beauty Integration 2.0. This allows you to make your skin flawless. Likewise, the AI is also capable of detecting 296 facial feature spots, allowing it to tell if you are a male and female, your age, skin tone and adjust your beauty accordingly.
However, remove those AI things and you are left with rather bland camera specs. There’s no dual-camera at the back or an impressive sensor at the front. The OPPO F7 Youth sits there with just an 8MP selfie camera and a single 13MP rear camera. That’s just disappointing, considering how the company brags about its superiority in the field of selfies.
Rest assured, the phone comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with ColorOS on top and drags its power from a 3,410mAh battery inside.
