An ultrabook that is narrower than an A4 sheet and weighs just 1.23kg. Here we are talking about the RedmiBook 13 which arrived alongside the much-awaited Redmi K30 series. It comes with a metal unibody, 40Whr battery, and 10th gen Intel CPUs.
The RedmiBook 13 sports a 13.3-inch FHD IPS panel resulting in what the company says an 89% screen-to-body ratio. The display comprises bezels that are slim on the top and sides but a bit larger at the bottom. The same bottom section features RedmiBook branding.
The ultrabook gets powered up by an Intel i5-10210U or i7-10510U that is paired with an 8GB RAM and 512GB standard SSD storage. The baseline i5 comes with integrated graphics while there’s a separate i5 and i7 variant that flaunts the Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU and 2GB GDDR5 VRAM.
About the I/O, the ultrabook carries two USB 3.1 ports, a full-sized HDMI, 3.5mm headphone jack along with a dedicated charging port. Similarly, it comes with a 40Whr battery that is said to last 11 hours and supports 1C fast charging.
As for the software, the RedmiBook 13 comes with Windows 10 Home with Office Student edition pre-installed. The company is also offering manual transmission support that allows an easy file transfer between the laptop and Xiaomi smartphones.
The baseline variant of the new RedmiBook 13 is priced at CNY 4,199 ($597) while the i5 with Nvidia GeForce MX250 costs CNY 4,499 ($640). Similarly, the i7 costs CNY 5,199 ($739). Pre-orders have already started while the official sales are starting tomorrow in China. There’s no word regarding its availability in other parts of the world yet.
