There were rumors about the new Redmi Smart Band Pro, and without any delay, the company has launched the same. As you would expect from the Pro moniker, it brings upgrades and offers more features over the Redmi Smart Band announced a year ago.
To start off, the front has a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with 450 nits of peak brightness and 282 ppi. For protection, the band has 2.5D tempered glass, while the while chassis is made up of polycaprolactam (more of nylon and plastic), combined with glass fiber which is said to resist 50m underwater. The strap though is nothing fancy and made up of soft silicone.
As usual, the device brings an accelerometer, gyroscope, and PPG heart rate monitor. There’s also a light sensor for auto-brightness. The given sensor enables more than 110 types of workouts out of which 15 are professional modes says Redmi. You’ve got a SpO2 measurement as well in that list.
Pumping the juice is a 200mAh battery that carries the charge through a small magnetic cable. Albeit small, the battery should last you about 14 days under normal usage and over 20 days when in power-saving mode.
