Poco has finally revealed the regular Poco M2 after about 2 months since the company announced the Poco M2 Pro. The device shares a majority of its specs with the Redmi 9 — launched back in July in Nepal — including display, CPU, and cameras. Let’s give you its quick overview.
The Poco M2 flaunts a 6.53-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 ratio, and 395 ppi pixel density underneath the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The device powers on a 12nm based octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB eMMC 5.1 onboard storage, expandable up to 512GB via dedicated microSD slot. It runs on MIUI 11 atop Android 10 out of the box.
Onto the back lies a quad-camera setup comprising an f/2.2 13MP wide sensor, an f/2.2 8MP ultrawide sensor, an f/2.4 5MP macro sensor, and an f/2.4 2MP depth sensor alongside LED flash, HDR, and panorama. Meanwhile, at the front is a single f/2.0 27mm wide 8MP sensor with HDR for selfies.
The Poco M2 comes with a loudspeaker, 3.5mm audio jack, A2DP Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB 2.0 with USB On-The-Go, and Type-C 1.0 reversible connector It also has P2i water-repelling nano-coating, IR Blaster, and a rear-mounted fingerprint.
The device carries a non-removable Li-Po 5,000mAh cell with 18W fast charging to keep the lights on. It’s available in Brick Red, Pitch Black, and Slate Blue colors.
The Poco M2 is set to go on sale starting 15 September through Flipkart in India for INR 10,999 for the 6GB/64GB and INR 12,499 for the 6GB/128GB variant.
