Coolpad is coming up with a new smartphone in Nepal. The company posted a new teaser on its official Facebook page that says “Smartphone for Everyone” about the upcoming smartphone and that’s all.
However based on the tagline, we predict it to be a budget-oriented device, and the back of it does look enticing. If you look at the picture (above), it flaunts a triple camera array that could be a wide, ultrawide, and a depth sensor followed by an LED flash down under.
There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back adding a security layer to the smartphone while the entire back looks appealing given that camera bump and the color it uses.
Founded back in 1993, Coolpad has grown up to become one of the most promising smartphone brands. Fast forward to 2012, it acclaimed a 10.3% market share of smartphone suppliers in China in 2012, third at that time after Samsung and Lenovo.
Coolpad entered the Nepali market back in 2017 and quickly gained popularity, essentially in the mid-range smartphone category. Starting 2020, we have seen the likes of Coolpad Cool N7 Plus, Cool X, and Cool 6, been launched ranging from NPR 15,000 to NPR 26,500.
Recently, the company also launched Coolpad Cool S and Cool 10 in the lower mid-range segment. Overall, Coolpad does look like gaining traction in the Nepali smartphone market and seems to be focusing on the budget-friendly category.
Be with us as we will soon be coming up with an update as soon as the device gets announced.
