Xiaomi’s latest pair of TWS earphones has arrived and it’s called the FlipBuds Pro. The audio accessory is the first of its kind from Xiaomi to come with Active Noise Cancellation, and it brings an 11nm driver with a dedicated flagship audio chip by Qualcomm.
The FlipBuds Pro’s ANC works its magic to tune down the noise to 40dB, which Xiaomi compares to the volume of noise in the library. The FlipBuds Pro comes with three microphones — one for receiving voice during calls, another is for detecting external noises and eliminating them, whereas the third one is there to make sure the user’s voice isn’t muted by accident.
Working behind the scene is the QCC5151 Bluetooth chip which does its job by listening and filtering unwanted environmental sounds like winds, which can ruin the audio experience. The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.2 alongside aptX Adaptive Dynamic Codec Protocol.
Xiaomi says that the FlipBuds Pro will work its wonder with almost no latency as long as you pair it with select Xiaomi smartphones, including Mi Mix Fold, Mi 11 series, Mi 10 series, Redmi K40 series, Redmi K30 series, and Redmi Note 9 Pro.
There’s no mention of the FlipBuds Pro’s battery capacity, but the firm is adamant about it offering 7 hours on a single charge (it fallbacks to 5 hours with ANC on) and a total of 28 hours of playback time. The earbuds can charge inside the case which has a USB-C charging port as well as wireless charging.
The Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro is already on sale in China for a price of CNY 799, which is about NPR 15,000 in Nepal. It’s available in Black color only.
