As speculated, Xiaomi has officially revealed its Mi Max 2 in India. The humongous phone will go on sale from 27th of July through online sales in India. As for the pricing, the handset can be purchased for INR. 16,999.
Now talking about the specs, as the name suggests, the Mi Max 2 comes with a huge screen of 6.44-inch. Unlike last years offering, the Mi Max 2 is built with a full aluminum unibody. Underneath, there’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, while the RAM and storage are 4GB and 64GB respectively.
Optics wise, the Mi Max 2 borrows its sensor from the Mi 6 — there’s a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor on the rear carrying an aperture rate of f/2.2 with an improved low-light performance, PDAF, and dual-LED flash. Up front, the phone boasts an average 5MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
On the back, there’s also a fingerprint scanner, whilst at the front, the phone rocks stereo speakers. All this will be powered by an impressive 5,300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The phone will boot into Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and will receive an update of MIUI 9. Although there’s no word from Xiaomi about its availability outside India, we expect the device to the hit the Nepali market rather soon than expected. So, what do you think about it?
