Hyundai Santro 2018 officially launched in Nepal, comes in four model

Laxmi InterContinental, the authorized dealer for Hyundai has launched the all-new 2018 Santro in Nepal starting at Rs. 24,96,000. The beloved family car is now available in four variants: Magna, Magna AMT, Sportz, and Asta.

The new Santro looks nothing like its previous model but is quite similar to the Hyundai i10 or the Grand i10. Similar to the looks, the new Santro also shares the same K1 platform that gives its own new identity. With the new platform, the hatchback is now longer and wider measuring in at 3610mm in length, 1645mm in width and 1560mm in height.

The front of the Santro gets the new cascade grills making a bold appearance with integrated fog lamps. The headlamps somehow resemble the i10. On the side, the car now gets more crease as in the front it has boomerang arrow and another arc line above the wheel. On the rear, it gets simple set of tail lamp and few bold aesthetic appeals to the car. The Santro 2018 gets 14-inch wheels but misses out on the alloy wheel.

The interior of the new Santro seems promising as it gets a better fit and finishes. The cabin also gets dual tone finish. On the center, it has a 7-inch infotainment touch screen which supports Android Auto, Apple Car Play, and Mirror Link. The Dashboard also seems neat and clean for the information to be displayed. It also houses a rear a/c vent which is first in its class. The top variants also get rear parking camera, parking sensor, and a rear wiper. What it misses out is the LED headlamp as well as tail lamps, adjustable headrest, seat height adjustment, and steering tilt adjustment. For the safety, it gets ABS and driver airbag as standard. It comes with 235L of boot space.

The all-new Hyundai Santro 2018 is powered by a 1.1-liter, 4-cylinder reliable petrol engine, which pumps out 68 BHP @ 5500 RPM of peak power and 99 NM of peak torque @ 4500 RPM. The Santro is also offered with in-house developed Smart Auto AMT Technology and will have a factory fitted CNG option. The CNG variant is available in Magna and Sportz manual variant which is capable of producing 59ps at 5,500 rpm. Hyundai claims the highway mileage of 20kmpl and 14 km in the city.
