There’s a total hype surrounding the Redmi K20 Pro but the device that deserves equal attention in the Nepali market is non-other than its sibling the Redmi K20. The non-pro variant sees a slight downgrade in hardware but has powerful specs in contrast to most mid-rangers in the market.
The device has a similar aesthetic to the K20 Pro; has a display that measures similar to its bigger brother, and it is a Super AMOLED panel as well. You also get a similar in-display fingerprint scanner. However, the differences can be seen inside, the K20 rocks the Snapdragon 730 SoC fabricated on 8nm technology, which is less powerful than the Snapdragon 855 chipset but still gets the job done. The RAM is 6GB and the storage is 128GB that is expandable via microSD card.
As for the camera, the phone highlights a similar triple-camera configuration at the back but with different sensor — it’s the 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor with f/1.8 lens. But the rest of the sensor is similar: an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and a 13MP ultra-wide shooter with f/2.4 aperture as well. The front also sees a similar 20MP selfie camera hidden inside a motorized pop-up mechanism.
Similar to what you get on the K20 Pro, the K20 also has a 4,000mAh battery but with 18W fast charging. The phone boots on Android 9 Pie on top of MIUI 10.
