Xiaomi’s first device without the ‘Mi’ moniker has arrived in Nepal — it’s the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, a derivative of the already unveiled Mi 11 Lite but with the latest processor and 5G support onboard.
The phone has taken its design cues from the non-5G model with a similar 6.55-inch Full-HD AMOLED panel, 90Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Notably, the phone also comes with IP53 dust and splash resistance, an IR blaster, a dual speaker, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
Nothing much has changed at the back as well as the phone borrows the same 64MP main camera with an f/1.8 lens, an 8MP ultrawide, and finally a decent 5MP macro lens for close shots. The front, though, gets a slight upgrade to 20MP selfie snapper, up from the 16MP on the non-5G model.

The main difference here is of course on the internal. For 5G, you get a Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset that goes alongside either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage. Meanwhile, the battery capacity is similar to what you would get on the normal Mi 11 Lite. Thankfully, the phone still comes with a 33W charging brick out of the box.

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE comes in three color options: Peach Pink, Bubblegum Blue, and Snowflake White with prices starting from NPR 45,999 in Nepal for the 8GB/128GB variant and goes a bit higher at NPR 48,999 for the 8GB/256GB model.
