Xiaomi Mi Band 6 launches in Nepal with SpO2 sensor and 130 watch faces

Xiaomi released a new iteration to last year’s Mi Band 5, the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 aka Mi Smart Band 6 in China just a couple of months ago. And now the fitness band has made its way to Nepal.

While not a lot has changed from the predecessor, the fitness band comes with a bigger screen size — 1.56-inch and blood oxygen monitoring (SpO2 sensor). Other features such as a heart rate sensor, stress monitoring, and activity detection are inherited.

So, let’s take a quick overview of the band followed by its price in Nepal and availability.

Overview

The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 carries a 1.56-inch AMOLED display with 486 x 152 pixels resolution and 450 nits peak brightness. It ships with a total of 130 watch faces while allows custom ones as well.

You get water resistance up to 5ATM and all the other exercise modes you will need, 30 in total. Not to mention the inclusion of idle alerts, stress monitoring, sleep tracking, etc. You also finally get the SpO2 tracker that allows you to monitor your blood oxygen level amid exercise or your breathing quality, which should come in handy given the current situation.

Other features are PPG heart-rate sensor, 3-axis accelerometer, and 3-axis gyroscope. However, there’s no NFC equipped on this one.

A 125mAh battery keeps the lights on that is said to fully charge within 2 hours and last as long as 2 weeks on a single charge.
