Xiaomi still holds the crown of the No. 1 smartphone brand in Nepal in Q2 2021 with a 38.9% market share in terms of unit shipments, reports the latest Q2 2021 release by IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. Also, according to Q2 2021 mobile phone tracker, it holds a bigger market share than Samsung, Vivo, and Techno combined. The firm has been in the number one position since Q3 2020.
Talking about the same, Sourabh Kothari, Country General Manager at Xiaomi Nepal shared, “We are extremely thrilled to be the #1 smartphone company in Nepal for 4 consecutive quarters as per IDC. We are humbled by the love and support that we have received from our Mi Fans and hope to continue to strive and meet all gold standards that we have set for ourselves in the future.”
Xiaomi observed remarkable progress in the Nepalese market, thanks to a launch of a range of smartphones across all price segments that include the likes of Redmi K20 line, Poco F3, Mi 11, Mi 11X Pro, etc together with 30 new ecosystem products such as Trimmer, Band 6, Sonic Bass Wireless earphones, Powerbanks, TV Stick, Mi Watch Lite, and more.
The overall growth is also attributed to its offline expansion in Nepal with above 2000 offline partner stores and 600 Mi preferred partner stores across the country. With a strong distribution network across different parts of the nation, Xiaomi has secured its position in the market with robust after-sales service through exclusive authorized service centers, not to mention a dedicated service warehouse that looks after all the customer requirements.
